Is the one whom we love hindering our progress?

 We say we love yet we never think if the one we love is the one we should be loving and if our love for them is a hindrance or a blessing. Does that person make your life better tell you the hard truths and do it in a way that makes you want to change those things about yourself yet they never require it from you because they love the very essence of who you are and wouldn't want you any other way. Are they the reason that the season you are in hasn't changed for the better keeping you in a process in which our creator is calling for you to move past because they aren't supposed to be a part of your winning season. Sometimes the ones we pick God never wanted them to be more than a lesson and we move ahead of God and make them permanent therefore hindering the plan of God in our life. Can you believe that the one we choose as a life partner can keep us in a cycle of poverty and living from paycheck to paycheck only ever going so far because their life path was not ever ordained to be in line with ours? Wondering why your vision is only going so far and how before them your finances flowed, you had no lack but abundance and your businesses were thriving and gaining great success now everything seems to be on hold and your money done got funny look at your partner and seek God for his plan because you just might realize their not supposed to be there and instead of being your blessing they become your curse.

 In light of the changing year, we all come to the conclusion that we must change different aspects of our lives or better ourselves in some way whether it be weight loss, decluttering our homes, changing careers, or searching for love we all dedicate ourselves to the process of growth and newness. I always wonder why we must wait until a certain time of year to make purposeful changes in our lives. Mother vs Father in the single world?

 In light of the holidays of Mother's & Father's Day, I have seen some crazy talk among the natives and it is downright disturbing if you ask me. The question I pose is why we feel that one parental role outweighs the other, especially in the single community. Honestly, children need both parents to thrive in our society.  If we really look into it the narrative has changed a lot because I see a lot of single fathers holding it down and it may be even more challenging for them, especially in terms of getting any type of assistance if they need it due to the stigma behind grown men providing for their own households.
