Ladies and Gentlemen it's almost Valentine's Day who has plans?

 Every year we hope to spend the day in which we celebrate love, union and relationships with that special someone who makes our hearts flutter, and gives us butterflies in our stomach but isn't love supposed to be an everyday thing in a relationship like it's supposed to be shown 365 days a year so why on this particular day do we feel so pressed to go above and beyond??? I'll tell you what I think it is we have become so accustom to what society has told us is the way of doing things that we forget that we are simply just boosting the economy on that day because most people spend an arm and a leg on valentine's day and hate each other the other 364 days of the year and that is simply sad. I bet you money you will see a hundred or more engagements and thousands more marriages posted on social media on that day whose love interest are still dealing with them and someone else or wasn't sure if they really even wanted to go through with it but their partner pressured them into it and the sad part is the majority of them won't even last more than five years. I say we change the narrative and let love rain all 365 days a year showing our partner love, trust, honesty, passion and dedication to our love experience not just for likes and views on social media but because the love we have for one another is genuine and sincere that makes Valentine's day everyday not just on February 14th. Don't get me wrong by all means if you like give your partner something special on that day but don't break the bank because you still got to live tomorrow and make sure the love is mutual between you to it's nothing worst than getting played just so someone can pretend for the public. Be safe out there and Happy Valentine's day!

Mother vs Father in the single world?

 In light of the holidays of Mother's & Father's Day, I have seen some crazy talk among the natives and it is downright disturbing if you ask me. The question I pose is why we feel that one parental role outweighs the other, especially in the single community. Honestly, children need both parents to thrive in our society.  If we really look into it the narrative has changed a lot because I see a lot of single fathers holding it down and it may be even more challenging for them, especially in terms of getting any type of assistance if they need it due to the stigma behind grown men providing for their own households.
