Strawberry Letter of the morning: I lost my Job due to protecting a friend from a cheating husband

Image
In this mornings strawberry letter please be advised that this is a general synopsis of the letter. There was a young lady who was given a position at the work place of a friends husband and by the way he helped her get the job. She started noticing that he was going to met up with a woman everyday around the same time so she was getting suspicious that something was going on with her friend's husband and this mystery woman. She took it upon herself to have her friend's husband followed as well as getting information about who this woman was which turned out she was a local attorney. Granted in the letter she explains that this went on for quite awhile before she started to investigate and felt she should get information in order to inform her friend of her husband's potential behavior. Once she gained enough evidence she had her friend come to the job and catch her husband in action and boy did she catch him. Her husband lied and said that he was seeing this woman to deal...

Is it our job to try and change our mate?

Image
I don't believe that it is at all our job to change anyone when we love we should love that person as a whole the good the bad the ugly. I always say if I must change the person I am with for any reason they are not for me and I will not destroy another persons mate simply because I want what I want. I think a lot of times we have unreal expectations of our romantic mates and instead of building them up we end up tearing them down in a quest to help them quote unquote  better themselves. STOP trying to make individuals into your cookie cutter version of a mate and except them for who they truly are and experience the wonderful person in whom you say you fell in love with. Can you say that you have truly fallen in love with someone in whom you want to change the answer is a clear no because that would mean you have fallen for someone in whom doesn't exists but except in your mind. The harsh reality is that getting to truly know someone can take a life time and that person wil...

I'd rather wait long than marry wrong, so let us stop loving the wrong person to long!

Image
In many cases we don't even know we are loving the wrong person because our ego and emotions can distort the reality of things so much so that we fail to see the damage we are doing not only to ourselves but to the individuals we claim to love. I have been found in this situation quite a few times and I have found that my loyalty to people is one of my biggest problems I have because if I love you or care for you deeply I never want to be the person that just walks away or causes harm so I will ride that thing out till the wheels fall off and what I have found out is that this is not always the answer we have to learn when it's time to move on before we cause more harm than good not only to ourselves but to others.       Love is a very tricky emotion and a lot of times we base it off of words never looking into the actions behind those words. I can say I love you a thousand times but if I can't ever put those words into action in the form of just being able to...

Are we giving people to many chances in love and relationship?

Image
Why are we so willing to give the wrong people so many chances to hurt and abuse us knowing that they don't value or really appreciate the love and grace that we are giving them. I found that when we don't really know our own self worth we are willing to accept love for hurt, betrayal instead of loyalty, lies instead of truth and disappointment instead of happiness. It's crazy how own our demons if not dealt with can affect our lives in more ways than we know.       Can I tell you that we can attract those who can sense our self doubt and our lack of love for ourselves and they attach themselves to us like leeches spiritual parasites and suck us dry of the very life force that we have left leaving us depleted, unsure of our selves even more than we already are and making us slaves to their bad behavior. We become a narcissist's dream they can feel us out and we never see them coming and it's so very hard to detach from these individuals.     I k...

With the changing of times has the expectations that women are judged by changing?

Image
In light of all the attention Lori Harvey is getting can we say that young women are still being held under wild expectations in terms of relationship goals? I don't agree with how we set such an unrealistic expectations for young women but not our young gentlemen. Lori Harvey is still quite young and the old notion where if you weren't married by twenty-five you are considered an old maid is outdated and just unrealistic in this day and age. I believe that if Ms. Harvey voiced early on in the relationship that she wasn't looking for marriage and to settle down than she was right to walk away from a man who wanted all the things she didn't. If you look at Ms. Harvey's track record you can see she clearly dates men who have problems committing in relationships which means she has a type ones who she feels are looking for the same thing a little fun and companionship nothing more.      What I believe may have happened and this of course is all speculation for none of...

Let's talk about issues that can literally shake a relationship to it's core!

Image
Being in a relationship and or marriage is hard enough as it is so we never want some issues to arise because it can literally be the end of the union. Money issues is one of the biggest issues couples face especially early on in a marriage. This is due partly to the fact that even if you have discussed financial issues and situations it hits differently when it actually arises and a financial pitfall is present. My husband and I were married around five years when he was physically disabled and unable to work at all and all the financial responsibility fell on me this was a very difficult situation because we had five children at home to provide for and never in a million years would I think that I would be working two full time jobs and a part-time job to keep our family afloat all why maintaining the other duties required of me at home. We all know we take those good vows on our wedding day that says for richer or poorer in sickness and in health but you don't know how hard tha...

Looking at a Strawberry Letter :How important is physical intimacy in a relationship?

Image
I was listening to Steve Harvey and the strawberry letter this morning and a young woman newly married is having issues with her husband wanting to be intimate with her on a regular bases both waited till their nuptials to engage in sexual intimacy and now the lack of it is causing a serious issue with this young woman's ability to connect with her husband. She has discussed with him on numerous occasions that she needs more from him in terms of intimacy and he dismisses her every time. She now feels that maybe he is not attracted to her and has done everything she knows to do to try and spark his interest to no aveil. He claims his parents didn't engage in much physical intimacy and he just doesn't need it all the time.  So, my question is how important do you think physical intimacy is in a marriage. And do you feel that the lack of physical intimacy can potentially result in the demise of the marriage even if every other factor of the marriage is intact? Here's my t...
